Mental health information and resources
Mental health is essential to students’ academic success, as well as their ability to participate fully and meaningfully in all aspects of their lives. It is common for students to find that throughout the course of their studies, they encounter times of challenge or struggle. If this occurs, there are different ways to support and tend to our mental health and wellbeing.
Resources for support
- Seek counselling support. The staff with OC Counselling Services are all clinically trained counsellors with at least a master’s level of knowledge. They have the expertise and training to respond to a wide variety of personal, academic, social and mental health issues.
- If connecting with a counsellor is not possible for you or desired, then increasing personal knowledge through mental health resources can also be useful. You can find an extensive list of mental health resources that are relevant to students on the Counselling Services webpage, under the “Resources for Students” tab. More info access resources for students.
