After you apply

When Admissions asks for your transcripts, access B.C.’s Student Transcripts Service (STS)  

• Select Okanagan College as the post-secondary institution to send to.
• If you’re a current high school student, select: Send Interim and Final Marks when they become available.

Request your transcript now

Your transcript will be sent immediately to Okanagan College electronically from the Ministry of Education. If you’re a current high school student, we will request an update at the end of the academic school year for your final transcript.

If you last attended school between 1974-1985, contact your secondary school for your transcript.

Applied to more than one campus or program?

If you have applied to more than one campus or program, you only need to submit your final transcript once. 

If you’re a current high school student, request your high schools to send interim transcripts to  admissions@okanagan.bc.ca or by mail to any campus.

Final official transcripts should be sent directly to Okanagan College by the Ministry of Education of your province or territory, or by your school or school board for Ontario students. Search online for transcript ordering instructions from your province’s Ministry of Education to learn how to request an official transcript.

Transcripts must come directly from the Ministry of Education or other official issuing body to be accepted as official.  

Applied to more than one campus or program?

If you have applied to more than one campus or program, you only need to submit your final transcript once.  

Admissions ask you to submit your transcripts from other colleges or universities you have attended. 

You can start by emailing unofficial transcripts to Admissions. You may then be required to submit official transcripts.

To be considered official, a transcript must be sent directly to Okanagan College by the issuing institution; mailed, emailed or other electronic delivery can be accepted. Transcripts delivered in person by the applicant must be in the original envelope sealed by the issuing institution to be considered official.  

Currently enrolled at another post-secondary institution? 

If you are currently enrolled at another post-secondary institution and an interim transcript has been requested, you’re welcome to email an unofficial transcript as a starting point.  Admissions will let you know if an official interim transcript is required. Once your final grades are released, you’ll need to submit a final, official transcript by the deadline set by Admissions. 

• Immunizations and Tests

  The results of tuberculin (TB) testing are an admission requirement and must be submitted to the Admissions office by the deadline indicated in myOkanagan. The remainder of the Immunization Record form will be collected by the department Chair once classes begin.

• Criminal Record Check clearance to work with vulnerable adults and children from the Criminal Records Review Program: Police (RCMP) checks cannot be accepted. Okanagan College will send you instructions to request your Criminal Record Check online with our Access Code. Whenever possible, we recommend that you set up the BC Services Card Login prior to requesting a CRC.
• Standard First Aid and CPR level C  (Proof of enrolment or completion must be received by admissions before the deadline date) (Courses available through Continuing Studies)
• Requisite Skills and Abilities (This is not an admission requirement. Please review before the first day of class.)

• CPR Level “C” Certification or “Basic Life Support (BLS)” Certification.
• Foodsafe Level 1 Certification (or equivalent).
• Immunizations and Tests
• Evidence of a negative tuberculin screening test (TB test), taken no more than six months before the date of application (and evidence of appropriate follow-up tests, if necessary)
• Proof of meeting current provincial immunization policies and guidelines by completing the Okanagan College Immunization Record Form. Applicants are advised that, if they are unable to provide proof of immunization they may be restricted and/or excluded from clinical practice.
• Workplace Hazardous Materials (WHMIS) provincial course completion.
• All the B.C. Provincial Violence Prevention Curriculum (PVPC) including the 8-hour in-person classroom course completion.
• Health Care Assistant Practice in BC E-Learning Modules completion.
• Recognizing and Responding to Adult Abuse course completion.
• Student Practice Education Core Orientation (SPECO) checklist completion.

• Medical Clearance
• Verification of Experience - Submit the completed forms to admissions@okanagan.bc.ca as soon as possible.

Failure to submit all required documentation by a specified deadline may result in denial of admission. Applicants are strongly advised to have at least a beginner's level of competency with computers and word processing.
