Congratulations to Sasha Carter, a Development Officer with the Okanagan College Foundation, whose team rolled to victory in the B.C. women’s curling championship in Kamloops on Jan. 9.

Team Arsenault, to which Sasha plays second, is heading to the Scotties Tournament of Hearts Canadian championships from Jan. 28 to Feb. 6 in Thunder Bay, Ont.

With this win, Sasha becomes BC’s only female athlete to capture seven provincial titles.

“It feels amazing to be heading back to the National Scotties Tournament of Hearts,” says Carter. “After taking some time away from the game the past few years to focus on my family, it was really the pure thrill of competition and the joy of my teammates that I was missing. To win a championship always feels incredible, but to do it with some of my best friends is what truly makes it special. We are honoured and super excited to be wearing the Team BC colours in a few weeks.”
