The Red Dot Players’ latest performance opens tonight, featuring a cast and production crew filled with Okanagan College students, employees, alumni and community members.

Marion Bridge stars DeAnna MacArthur, Sarah Foss and Emily MacArthur. Both DeAnna MacArthur and Sarah Foss are Okanagan College employees. MacArthur teaches in the Therapist Assistant Department, and Foss teaches in the Computer Science Department.

According to director Lauren Frost, "Red Dot's production of Marion Bridge is a rare chance to see one of Canada's favourite plays performed by three of the most renowned actresses in the Okanagan.” She adds, “I'm truly so proud of the show and all the work that's gone into it."

Frost feels that many will relate to the themes in Marion Bridge: "MacIvor tells a story of family, duty and the power of memory with witty dialogue and heartbreaking tableaus. There are people in your life you love easily and there are people in your life you love despite everything. This story will remind you of both. I have been so privileged to bring this script to life with an incredible cast and a rock-solid production team."

Performances are taking place at the Okanagan College Theatre, Room S104, 1000 KLO Road, Kelowna.

Following their run at Okanagan College, the Red Dot Players are performing Marion Bridge at the Venables Theatre in Oliver on May 19^th as part of the Okanagan Zone Theatre Festival.

The Red Dot Players are Okanagan College’s community theatre company. Founded in 2011, their mission is to provide opportunities for creative expression to Okanagan College students, employees, alumni, and community members.
