On Wednesday, Dec. 1, OC community members are invited to kickoff the season by giving the best gift ever. Join your colleagues in donating plasma as OC ‘adopts’ the Canadian Blood Services (CBS) plasma donation centre at Orchard Park mall, 2271 Harvey Ave, Kelowna, for the afternoon. Appointments will be blocked for OC starting at 1 p.m. every five minutes. To sign up or ask a question, contact Angelika March. All you need to bring with you to the appointment is a piece of ID. What is blood plasma? Why donate? This pale liquid is just as vital to saving lives as the red cells.
