This 288-hour micro-credential is a comprehensive and hands-on educational experience designed to equip aspiring estheticians with the requisite knowledge, skills, and techniques for success in the rapidly growing field of esthetics and spa therapy. This micro-credential combines theoretical instruction with enhanced practical training in a professional spa training centre environment. Practical training specific to skin care and facials, make-up foundations, eyelash and brow treatments, and hair removal techniques are covered in depth. Learners will explore specialty spa treatments such as relaxation massage and hot stone therapy, body scrubs and body wraps, and be introduced to aromatherapy and reflexology. Lastly, an introduction to alternative esthetic treatments will be covered. The importance of sustainability and incorporating eco-friendly practices will be discussed.


This micro-credential includes extensive practical experience in a professional spa environment, and graduates will be prepared to enter the workforce equipped with the knowledge and skills required to excel in various professional settings such as spas, salons, and wellness centres.

Admission requirements

  • Successful completion of the Beauty Council Beauty Safe General Trade Practice and Beauty Council Beauty Safe Level 2 Esthetics courses OR
  • Industry experience and completion of the Beauty Council Beauty Safe General Trade Practices Refresher Course.

EST 100 - Skin Care and Facials
EST 101 - Eyelash and Eyebrow Treatments
EST 102 - Make-up Foundations
EST 103 - Hair Removal Techniques
EST 104 - Introduction to Specialty Spa Treatments
EST 105 - Esthetics Industry Essentials & Career Readiness

Learners must pass each course with a minimum grade of 70% to receive the credential.

Residency requirements

A minimum of 50% of the program must be completed through OC.
