College essay workshops open to all students
The Penticton Success Centre and Library are teaming up to offer a 10-part College Essay Workshop series, available for students at all campuses.
Learn how to write a college paper, from crafting thesis statements, research tips and tricks, citations and writing out the paper itself.
The sessions are free, and run from 11 a.m. to noon on Thursdays. Students can take part in as many workshops as they like – but taking part in the series could help with grades over the long term, not just this semester!
“We’re here to support students develop the writing skills they will need at OC and beyond,” said Brittany Houston, Penticton Student Success Centre Coordinator.
“It’s great to see students gain confidence in their ability to search for and cite information. I am so pleased to be able to help out with this series,” said Eva Gavaris, Penticton Librarian.

- Oct 1: Understanding Essay Guidelines
- Oct 8: Research Tips and Tricks
