Step-by-step instructions
Step 1: Plan to meet with or contact an education advisor.
It's a good idea to talk to an Education Advisor to make sure you're picking the right courses for your program and graduation requirements.
Step 2: Review the planning sheet for your program.
These sheets help ensure that the courses you register for meet the program's graduation requirements. You can find planning sheets here: Planning Sheets.
Step 3: Review resources on how to build and plan a schedule.
For more information on registration, building a schedule, waitlisting, types of registration, and class delivery definitions, please visit How to register | Okanagan College.

Step 4: Browse classes and build your plan in Plan Ahead.
Log in to myOkanagan and select Registration > Plan Ahead.
- Fall and winter course offerings are usually available by late June or early July.
- Summer course offerings are usually available by March.
Important note: Please ensure you select the correct term. For academic foundational students, choose the term and year only. ie:, summer 2025 (do not select the continuing studies option).
Step 5: Review prerequisites or co-requisites for classes.
While planning your classes, ensure you have met the prerequisites or co-requisites. To view these, click on the course title, and a box will appear where you can select prerequisites or co-requisites. Alternatively, you can check the Academic Calendar under "Courses.”
Step 6: Confirm your plan with an Education Advisor.
Attend your scheduled meeting or contact an Education Advisor to confirm that you have selected the right courses for your program and graduation requirements.
Step 7: Register your plan.
For a video tutorial on how to register from a plan, please visit How to Register for Classes.
You can switch sections, register, or withdraw from courses until the last day specified in Okanagan College's important dates for your academic year. Keep in mind the last day to withdraw from a course with tuition charges reversed/refunded.
