Moodle, the open-source learning management system used at Okanagan College, will be upgraded to version 4.1 starting Dec. 23, 2023.

When students come back in January 2024, all courses will be taught using Moodle 4.1. The upgrade offers improvements to functionality, with a new look and feel, and will not affect existing content or coursework within the existing system.

Key upgrades and new features include:

  • The ability to track assignments and drag and drop course content
  • Improved usability and navigation
  • Improved accessibility features, which will benefit both teaching and learning experiences.
  • Accessibility toolkit, question bank analytics, time restrictions on assignments, and Turnitin integration
