The program and course curriculum are foundational to quality programming. Curriculum renewal is a process to examine currency of content and learning outcomes as they relate to the subject or discipline. Learning and Applied Research support faculty and instructors individually or in groups in examining core content and strategies for updating curriculum.
Renewal discussions, exploration and reflection are intended to support faculty and instructors in examining curriculum based on curriculum design principles and development.
As part of Okanagan College’s mission, vision and values, the Program Review and Renewal process plays a pivotal role in each of these key areas. The Program Review and Renewal process is intended to ensure that the knowledge, experiential learning, and training students obtain in their program will position them to excel in the workplace, succeed in further education, and become lifelong learners.

Ben is an Educational Technology Coordinator at Okanagan College, a role he has held since July 2022. He works collaboratively across the institution to support the strategic, effective, and inclusive use of educational technologies in teaching and learning.
His background includes teaching digital media and creative technologies in post-secondary and higher education institutions in both the UK and Canada. He brings extensive experience with industry-standard tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign, and Final Cut Pro, applying this expertise to support digital learning design, media-rich course development, and accessible content creation.
At Okanagan College, Ben’s work spans partnerships with faculty, academic leadership, and service areas to align pedagogical priorities with sustainable technology practices. He contributes to initiatives that support online, hybrid, and flexible delivery models, enhance the digital learning environment, and strengthen the overall quality and consistency of the student learning experience.

Linda joined Okanagan College as a Teaching and Learning Advisor in October 2023. With 17 years of post-secondary teaching and learning experiences involving action research and curriculum writing projects, she brings creativity, innovation and a touch of humor and fun to her work. Linda’s areas of expertise encompass Curriculum, Teaching and Learning, with an emphasis on experiential learning, as well as, Early Childhood Education and Development, the Reggio Approach and Outdoor Pedagogical strategies for all ages of learners.
