Okanagan College proudly welcomed new international students to campus during the Winter 2026 International Orientation, held Friday, Jan. 2, across the Kelowna, Vernon and Penticton campuses. The day was filled with energy, connection and plenty of smiles as students were introduced to their new academic home.
From informative sessions designed to help students navigate college life, to interactive games that encouraged connection and laughter, the orientation created a welcoming and inclusive environment from the moment students arrived. Guided campus tours helped students feel more confident finding their way around, while friendly staff, peer leaders and volunteers were on hand throughout the day to offer support and answer questions.
To add to the excitement, students had opportunities to win prizes and take part in engaging activities that fostered a sense of belonging and community. The orientation not only provided essential information, but also helped students build early friendships and feel at home at Okanagan College.
The success of the Winter 2026 International Orientation reflects Okanagan College’s ongoing commitment to creating a supportive, engaging and inclusive experience for students from 39 countries around the world. The College looks forward to seeing these students thrive throughout their studies and be active members of the OC community.
