“Sonya will always have a special place in our memories here at the College,” said HCA instructor Tracy Noble. “She was keen and dedicated to caring for those in need. Sonya, you will be missed by many and thought of by all whom you have touched the lives and hearts of. To those who had the privilege of knowing Sonya, I am so sorry for our loss, nothing can take this painful situation away but her loving memory will stay with us forever.”
Robyn Conway, a classmate in the HCA program said, "Sonya worked hard and held herself to a high standard. She took the program seriously and seemed determined not only to pass the course but to excel in it. She had a skill for lightening the mood in class. She was quick-witted, self-deprecating, and just really funny. I’m so glad that I got to know her over our six months of studying together."
