The Cybersecurity Post-Baccalaureate Diploma is aimed at students with various backgrounds who wish to pursue a career in the cybersecurity industry. The program focuses on program application and database security and cybersecurity threat analysis. Students use industry-standard software and analytical software and gain knowledge and practical skills directly applicable to working in the cybersecurity industry.

Admission requirements

Successful completion of a recognized Bachelor's Degree in Science or Engineering or an equivalent credential.


English Requirements: English 12 with a minimum of 60% or alternatives.


Math Requirements: A minimum of 60% in any of:

  • MATH 112
  • MATH 139
  • MATH 147
  • MATH 149
  • MATH 221
  • MATH 314
  • Or equivalent

Most Bachelor's Degrees in Science or Engineering will satisfy the following math requirement.


Computer Science admission requirements: COSC 111, 121, 221 with at least 60% GPAs in each course.


Applicants who have completed post-secondary studies outside of Canada will require a World Education Service evaluation with an International Credential Advantage Package of their credentials.

COSC 304 - Introduction to Database Management Systems
COSC 331 - Microservices and Software Architecture
COSC 417 - Topics in Computer Networks
COSC 315 - Introduction to Operating Systems
COSC 470 - Software Engineering

Semester 4

Complete All of the following:
COSC 419 - Topics in Computer Science
COSC 328 - Linux Networking
COSC 416 - Topics in Database
COSC 332 - Cyber Forensics & Zero-Trust Network
COSC 471 - Software Engineering Project

Successful completion of the prescribed and elective courses as listed in the program outline with a minimum graduating grade average of 60%.
