Tom Dyck Memorial Bursary
Honouring Tom’s contribution, commitment, and passion.
In loving memory of Tom, we are establishing the Tom Dyck Memorial Bursary for Construction Trades students starting out their journey at Okanagan College.
Tom had many passions, with education being just one. As a dedicated member of the Okanagan College Foundation Board, he provided strategic guidance and insight gained across a long and highly successful management career.
Tom came from a long line of mechanics, carpenters, and farmers and so hands-on learning was a huge part of his childhood. As the first person in his family to get a post-secondary education, he was a huge advocate for lifelong learning. Tom’s favourite place on campus was, without doubt, the Carpentry and Joinery Shop. To see his eyes light up as he took in the sights, sounds and smells, was a joy.
In recognition of his love of woodworking and his passion for lifelong learning, we thank you for contributing to this bursary in his memory. The Tom Dyck Memorial Bursary will provide financial support to help aspiring construction trades professional pursue their dreams through education.
