As wildfires continue to impact communities across our region, we know the situation has become increasingly challenging for many members of the Okanagan College community. If you have been impacted by the current wildfires, please take note of the following information.

Your application and admission

We recognize that the current situation may create uncertainty or challenges as you prepare to begin your studies this Fall.

If you are in the process of completing or submitting an admission requirement or paying your admission deposit and need additional time and expect a delay due to the impacts of the wildfires, please let us know as soon as possible.

If you think your plans may need to change and would like to discuss your options for starting at Okanagan College this fall or at a later time, please contact us at askoc@okanagan.bc.ca. If possible, please include your student number.

Our team can help you understand the options available and determine next steps based on your circumstances.

For current information on wildfires, evacuation alerts and orders, and conditions across the province, please visit the BC Wildfire Service dashboard and follow updates from your local emergency operations centre.

Conditions can change quickly. Please continue to prioritize your safety, and know that we are here to help if the wildfire situation is affecting your plans to attend Okanagan College this Fall.
