Q: How did you end up at Okanagan College?
A: We are isolated from a lot of services in Revelstoke, and OC provided an unexpectedly wonderful option of upgrading here in town. It’s really a gift to our community to have access to this option.
Q: How did you choose your program?
A: I needed to upgrade to get into a university program. I researched lots of options, but the idea of doing it online was daunting and I was glad to find a classroom environment to do so in.
Q: What is your area of interest?
A: Earth Sciences
Q: What do you like most about the program?
A: Having an engaging interactive experience.
Q: Favourite class experience?
A: There isn’t one in particular, but I love that moment when something in math just clicks because it’s been explained in a way that suits your learning style and you actually understand the logic behind it.
Q: Who gave you the best advice you ever received?
A: The grass is green where you water it.
Q: What advice do you have for new OC students?
A: Going back to school is not as intimidating as it seems. You just need to break the barrier of making that first step.
Q: What will you be doing in 10 years?
A: Hopefully not doing grade 10 math! I’ll hopefully be helping industrial agriculture transition into a more sustainable future.

Adult Upgrading
Courses designed for adult learners in a wide range of backgrounds to fit the needs of educational upgrading. Courses fill the requirements of the B.C. Adult Graduation diploma as well as various prerequisites for admission to post-secondary programs.
