Okanagan College welcomes Lianna Lillies this week as the new Associate Registrar, Systems.

Lillies brings extensive experience in post-secondary enrolment systems, most recently at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. After eight years in the IT team as a programmer, Lillies was promoted to Manager Campus Enrolment Services in Moose Jaw. In that role, she served as the project lead on the Enrolment Services modernization initiative – including implementation of the Banner 9 self-registration application, which allows students to manage their academic careers.

She holds a Business Information Diploma from Saskatchewan Polytechnic, as well as a Business Certificate from Southeast Regional College. She is currently completing a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Thompson Rivers University.

“Sask PolyTech is an Ellucian Banner institution, which will make for a smooth introduction to Okanagan College operations,” says Bob Burge, Registrar. “Not only does she bring in-depth knowledge of OC systems, Lianna’s experience with successful continuous improvement projects will be a huge benefit as we continue developing our services, including self-service initiatives. I am confident she will be an incredible asset to the Registrar’s Office team.”

Having previously lived in Kelowna, Lillies is looking forward to settling in the Okanagan and spending time doing things like skiing, biking, travelling, golfing and hiking – “which is much less challenging in Saskatchewan.”

“Being in higher education for over 13 years, I have been very fortunate to contribute to the social and economic health of the entire country and I am proud to be a part of this sector,” says Lillies. “Okanagan College offers me the opportunity to be closer to my roots while still being able to utilize all the skills I have gained through my career.”
