In recognition of Orange Shirt Day on Sept. 30, Grace Greyeyes, an Elder with the Penticton Indian Band, and recipient of Okanagan College Alumni Association’s Distinguished Award (2017), recently shared her story of surviving residential schools. Greyeyes has been a dedicated mentor and advocate for education in the region for decades. Read her story here.
