What Is Coordinated Support Services at Okanagan College? 

Coordinated Support Services (CSS) is a department that helps students navigate challenges that impact their academic success and well-being. Whether they’re experiencing academic or personal difficulties, CSS works with students to develop personalized support plans using a variety of campus and community resources. 

What support is available?

CSS can provide assistance in many areas, including:

  • Mental health support
  • Sexual violence survivor support
  • Food and housing insecurity
  • Academic support
  • Harm reduction and substance use support
  • Indigenous-specific and 2SLGBTQIA+ supports
  • Navigation of college policies and processes

CSS takes a collaborative and student-centered approach, meaning students are involved in the decision-making process and support plans are tailored to their individual needs.

A1: All Okanagan College students can access CSS, regardless of program or campus.

Q2: How do I get in touch with CSS? 
A2: Students can reach out directly by emailing occares@okanagan.bc.ca or stopping by the Student Services office – room S111 on the Kelowna campus.

Q3: Is CSS confidential? 
A3: Yes. All information shared with CSS is confidential. Information is only shared with the student’s consent or in rare circumstances where there is reason to believe that you or someone else is at risk of imminent harm.
