Amanda Hromadnik has worked at Okanagan College for two years as a Continuing Studies Program Coordinator on the Youth Programming Team that runs CampOC every summer.
This year’s CampOC was a huge success with close to 5,000 campers attending over 300 camps. As the unofficial “Vice Principal” of CampOC, Amanda plays a lead role in ensuring physical and psychological safety so all campers can have a fun and positive experience at CampOC. This entails everything from bandaging skinned knees to managing complex behavioral issues. There is a huge amount of work that happens behind the scenes to support safety before and throughout the summer including training for first aid, behaviour management, and supervising large crowds.
Amanda works with an amazing team dedicated to supporting the diverse needs and interests of campers ranging from grades 1-12.
Please join us in recognizing Amanda for her contributions to safety at OC, and the whole CampOC team for the great work they do!
