Short-term Program
Looking for an international experience but not ready to spend a full semester abroad?
A Short-Term Exchange might be the perfect fit. These programs usually run during the summer breaks and last from a few weeks to a month. Short-term programs are offered through select partner institutions and may include additional costs such as an optional excursion fee or accommodation.
Program overview: The Summer Session at J. F. Oberlin University is a four-week intensive program in the suburbs of Tokyo. Courses offered include some business, cultural, and Japanese language courses, all of which are developed from existing courses that are part of JFOU's regular curriculum. Each course allows participants to have first-hand experience through not only theoretical study, but also field trips and lectures by guest professionals. Upon completion of each course, participants will be issued an official transcript from J. F. Oberlin University.

Program overview: The Japanese immersion program is offered where students can be fully immersed in Japanese culture by learning beginner Japanese language and participating in various activities and filed trips such as Hiroshima during this 16-day cultural program. There is no prior Japanese language skill required.

Why participate in this program? This program gives students a chance to learn about Japanese culture and be immersed in it. It is more of a cultural field school rather than an academic one. This program is for non-credit.
Fees: Program fee, application fee, activity fees, housing, and meals are waived for Okanagan College students.

Semester Exchange
Spend a semester abroad and experience life as an international student while earning credits toward your Okanagan College program. Through our exchange partnerships, you’ll pay your regular OC tuition while studying at one of our partner universities overseas.
Exchange opportunities are available for one or two semesters, depending on the partner institution.

Double Degree
Okanagan College offers a unique opportunity for select Business students to pursue a Double Degree Exchange with our partner institutions abroad. This program allows you to complete part of your studies at OC and part at a partner university, earning a credential from both institutions.
Students typically spend one academic year abroad and must meet specific course and program requirements agreed upon by both institutions. Admission is competitive and requires careful planning in consultation with an academic advisor and the International Education Office.
Eligibility:
- You must have completed two years of study in the Bachelor of Business Administration at OC
- Studies at the home institution have progressed according to the curriculum
- Motivation based on a letter prepared by the student and a possible interview carried out by the institution's representative

- Provide a recommendation letter from a professor
- Have interests in the wine sector and a strong motivation for a 2-year-long international experience
