Penticton Campus - Indigenous Student Services
The ACTION Project, an externally funded project in the Trades department, has an event coming up that we wanted to share with you.
This event will take place on the Penticton campus and may be of interest to Indigenous students and apprentices, families, tradespeople, and allies.
Who is being showcased?
Dolly Kruger is a tenacious female-Indigenous level 4 carpenter who lives on Penticton Indian Band land. Dolly owns a business, Cradle & Casket, has built her own shop and has a wide breadth of experience organizing construction projects.
It’s hard to imagine success if you don’t see examples of success that you can relate to. Dolly is an incredible example of success in the trades within the Indigenous community.
What can I expect?
Food, prizes (tools!!), community.
Share a warm meal with us, win prizes and be inspired by Dolly Kruger’s skills and resilience. Meet others in the trades industry or those with interest in entering it.
All are welcome, bring a friend.
