Join us for an evening of reflection and conversation as we learn how to better navigate conflict.

TOPIC:
How do we get into conflict, and how do we get out? Where do we go from here?
Whether it’s a hotly contested election or the more ordinary tensions of everyday life, conflict is something we all experience—and no one has all the answers.
Donna M. Henningson began by simply wanting to understand conflict better. That curiosity led her to take three years away from work to write her book, White Space, Gray Areas, and Black Swans: Stories of Getting Along (or Not).
In this talk, Donna will share insights from her writing journey, reflect on how conflict arises, and explore what it can take to move through it.
Copies of her book will be available for purchase and signing.

SPEAKER:
Donna M. Henningson is a high school teacher on a writing break, a vocal ensemble alto, and a former dragon boat coach. She taught high school English overseas in China just as COVID-19 hit. Before then she worked with non-profit groups, and was a full-time regional print journalist. She has an MA in Curriculum and Instruction from Gonzaga University, and a journalism certificate from the Langara campus in Vancouver.

Admission by donation- Cash only please.

All funds raised during this event go to OC students to help with financial emergencies.
