Brought to you by WeBC, Okanagan College, with support from the Government of Canada’s Women Entrepreneurship Strategy, this free leadership and growth initiative is designed for self-identifying women business owners, leaders, and entrepreneurs, with a focus on SETT (Science, Engineering, Technology, and Trades), Food, Wine and Tourism.

Regional Innovation Exchanges:  Three online sessions, Feb. 18, Feb. 25 and Mar. 4. There will be three regional innovation exchange groups (North Okanagan, Central Okanagan, South Okanagan) led by women entrepreneurs and supported by Okanagan College staff. These innovation exchanges will provide participants an opportunity to connect with other women in business, as well as exploring weekly topic, such as:

  • Women for Women Connect: Link women owned businesses with institutional and corporate procurement opportunities.
  • The Women’s Innovation Journey: Highlight the success and resilience of local women leaders across the Okanagan who have thrived using research, innovation, and out of the box solutions.
  • Failing Forward: Lessons from Mistakes: Participants share failures, challenges, and lessons learned to explore what could be done differently for improvement in future ventures.
  • Money Matters: Grants and funding for women-led business: Explore provincial and federal funding opportunities, WIL funding opportunities, and low-interest loans.
