For children born 2015-2017 and entering Grades 4-6 in the Fall

Our Junior camps are for youth who love to build, design, and create! From LEGO Robotics and engineering challenges to art, trades, and fashion design, each camp offers hands-on activities that encourage creativity and exploration. Try something new and have fun learning at Camp OC!

Jr. LEGO® Robotics - (CAMP 2329)

Nope, you are never too old to play with LEGO®. If you have a big imagination, are curious, and love to explore and take risks, you don’t want to miss this camp. Together we will build and create the most fascinating robots, mechanisms, and gizmos, then add block and python coding to our creations to make them move! In this fun environment, you will learn the skills needed to become the programmers and innovators of tomorrow!

Jr. Extreme Survivor Challenge - (CAMP 2703)

Are you up for a challenge? Do you think you have the brain power to figure out the puzzle? Do you think you can hurdle past your opponents to win? Can you eat the mystery blender drink? Do you have what it takes to be a team player? Come join us for a week of races, puzzles, obstacle courses, and endurance challenges.

Jr. Nature Exploration - (CAMP 2114)

Join us for an interactive week exploring the natural world and discovering how everything in nature is connected - including us! Through hands-on activities like building water filtration jars and creating food chain mobiles, plus outdoor adventures, games, and creative projects, you’ll uncover how ecosystems work and why humans depend on them. We’ll spend time outside every day exploring local habitats, asking questions, and making discoveries along the way. 

Jr. Minecraft™ - (CAMP 2302)

From computer science to creative expression, Minecraft™ Education Edition opens the door to endless opportunities to discover, build, design, and tell stories. Throughout the week, campers will spend most of their time learning and creating in the digital world, collaborating with teammates, solving challenges, exploring cities, travelling new Minecraft biomes, experimenting with basic coding, and competing in artistic build-offs. 
*While we include a few intentional screen-free activities to break up the day and keep things balanced— the bulk of the learning happens online.   

Jr. Art Academy - (CAMP 2503)

Why settle for just one way to express your creativity? If art is your passion, let your imagination soar as you explore a wide range of artistic techniques! From sculpting with clay to painting on canvas to building with wire, the possibilities are endless. At Jr. Art Academy, we dive into all methods and mediums of art, giving you the freedom to create in any way you choose!

Jr. Science Explorers - (CAMP 2337)

Get ready to explore science in action! This hands-on camp lets you explore a variety of science fields that include chemistry, earth science, biology, engineering, and more! You’ll experiment, test ideas, and discover how things work through engaging activities and observations. This camp is perfect for curious campers who want to sample many areas of science rather than focus on just one.  When possible, campers may also take part in virtual field trips that offer a peek into real-world science in action. 

Jr. Bloom and Build - (CAMP 2531)

Bloom + Build is a weeklong creative experience! You will construct your very own wooden garden box and learn how to plant and care for what grows inside it. You will also explore the basics of floristry—discovering balance, color, and arrangement techniques as you create your own mini bouquets and floral displays. You will also experiment with pressing and drying seasonal flowers to make unique keepsakes like bookmarks or frame-ready art. It’s the perfect camp for budding builders, nature lovers, and anyone who enjoys crafting something beautiful from the ground up! 

Jr. Chef Academy - (CAMP 2500)

Whip, whisk, zest and test your chef abilities. Embrace your inner chef in this fast paced, high energy cooking adventure! You will discover new and exciting cooking techniques, flavours, and aromas. You may even transform into the next great Camp OC Chef!

Jr. 3D Design and Printing - (CAMP 2300)

How cool is 3D printing? Even cooler if YOU were to design the object! This week we will draw, tweak and design items using a bunch of different mediums. You will be working on the computer with industry software to create your own master pieces. When you are happy with your projects we will have a couple of them printed for you to take home and display.

Jr. Ultimate Sports Sampler - (CAMP 2702)

Get ready for a high-energy week of sports! Each day features something new such as soccer, basketball, volleyball, pickleball, or frisbee. Sharpen your skills through drills, scrimmages, challenges, and team games designed to push your speed, agility, and coordination. Build your confidence through teamwork, sportsmanship, and friendly competition - whether you’re aiming to practice your game or try something new, this camp delivers nonstop action, new friends, and tons of FUN. 

Jr. Explore the Trades - (CAMP 2007 )

For children entering grades 4-6 in the fall:

If you are curious about the trades, then this is the camp for you! Step into the shop to explore and gain fun, hands-on experience in different trades. Build creative projects incorporating plumbing, carpentry, concrete and electrical. You will develop useful skills and safe working habits. it's all about discovering, exploring, building and finetuning awesome projects, using practical activities and hand-on methods. No dull or boring tools will be used in this camp!

Babysitter Training - (CAMP 2903)

*Please note - youth must be 11 years of age to receive Red Cross Certification 

Become a confident babysitter this summer! Gain skills from both the Home Safe and Babysitter Training courses. We will cover topics such as first aid, difficult behaviours, leadership and professional conduct for babysitters. Develop practical experience in changing diapers, feeding and dressing children and babies all while keeping you and the child safe. Successful candidates will become a Red Cross-certified babysitter.

Jr. Chemistry Ka-Boom - (CAMP 2113)

Bubbling, boiling, blasting and ka-booming is what this camp is all about! Strap on your safety goggles because this is going to be one messy week. You will create and test all sorts of chaotic concoctions that your parents would never let you make in your kitchen. There will be mini rockets, blasting balloons, boiling brews, and so much more. This camp will blast your socks off! 

Jr. Ready Set Go-Kart - (CAMP 2006)

For children entering grades 4-6 in the fall:

Do you have a passion for go-kart mechanics, or racing? During this week you will enhance your knowledge in servicing and maintenance as well as explore safety aspects with an emphasis on tires, brakes and steering. We will go over the functions of a four stroke engine and how it operates. Expect to get your hands dirty as you will disassemble, inspect and repair the karts. There may even be some surprises like painting, decaling and customizing of the bodies. All karts will be prepped so they are ready for the last day of camp, which is RACE DAY! Friends and family are invited to come and support your race team.
