Our Senior camps let you explore your hobbies and passions. Choose from a variety of exciting options such as Intro to Trades, Videogame Programming, Digital Animation, Culinary, and more! Each camp is filled with hands on activities and fun experiences designed to teach you new skills. Every option opens the door to an exciting, college-inspired experience.

Do you love Dungeons and Dragons? Or are you just curious about this iconic role playing game? Whether you're a brand new adventurer or a professional dungeon crawler, our Game Masters will guide you through a week of epic adventures! Become an elf wizard, a halfling rogue, or any number of other fantasy races and classes when you develop your character profile and dive into a world of fantasy. No experience needed, just enthusiasm and a desire to work together and overcome challenges. Ditch your device and adventure together - immerse yourself in a game of D&D!

For children entering Grades 6 to 9 in the fall:
Become a confident babysitter this summer! Gain skills from both the Home Safe and Babysitter Training courses. We will cover topics such as first aid, difficult behaviours, leadership and professional conduct for babysitters. Develop practical experience in changing diapers, feeding and dressing children and babies all while keeping you and the child safe. Successful candidates will become a Red Cross-certified babysitter.

Sr. Photography in Focus - (CAMP 3504)
Are you dreaming about what life would be like as the next National Geographic photographer? Or maybe you have an eye for Macro, portraits, sport photography, or will you become the next super sensation on Instagram? Whatever the subject is, you can perfect or improve your technique this week! We will discover how to alter photos, tweak the composition, use light and shadows, and much more. Finally you can let the pictures tell the story you want the world to see.
Sr. Makeup Artist - (CAMP 3506)
Discover beauty, creativity, and self-expression in this immersive week of makeup and hairstyling. Explore a variety of techniques while building confidence and refining your artistic style. Begin with everyday glam, then dive into special effects makeup, creating realistic wounds, bruises, and character looks. Explore fantasy makeup and face art, experiment with bold colors, face painting, and learn hairstyling fundamentals to complement your designs. Throughout the week, you’ll have the chance to collaborate with the photography camp, capturing daily photos that showcase your progress and skills with a small portfolio highlighting your unique creations.
Sr. Intro to Trades - (CAMP 3002)
Have you ever wondered what the Trades are all about? Then you're in luck with this camp! This week you will explore this fascinating world while gaining hands-on experience in approximately five different trades' specialties. Campers will build a project that incorporates their creativity with carpentry, metal working, plumbing, hand drafting and electrical components. Learn some useful skills while gaining extensive access to the Trades facilities and technical training at Okanagan College. Who knows, you may find an interest you never knew you had!
Sr. Ready, Set, Go-Kart - (CAMP 3001)
Do you have a passion for go-kart mechanics, or racing? During this week you will enhance your knowledge in servicing and maintenance as well as explore safety aspects with an emphasis on tires, brakes and steering. We will go over the functions of a four stroke engine and how it operates. Expect to get your hands dirty as you will disassemble, inspect and repair the karts. There may even be some surprises like painting, decaling and customizing of the bodies. All karts will be prepped so they are ready for the last day of camp, which is RACE DAY! Friends and family are invited to come and support your race team.

Discover the art and science of welding in this hands-on day camp designed for beginners and enthusiasts! Participants will learn the basics of welding techniques, safety protocols, and metalworking. Guided by experienced instructors, you’ll gain practical experience with tools and equipment.
Whether you're interested in crafting metal art or pursuing a career in the trades, this camp provides a solid introduction to welding skills. By the end of the week, you'll have created a personal project to take home and gained a newfound appreciation for this high-demand trade.

Get ready to rock the world of sheet metal at Heavy Metal Makers, an electrifying camp that blends creativity, craftsmanship, and hands-on learning. This camp introduces youth to the art of shaping, cutting, and assembling sheet metal, using real tools and techniques from the skilled trades.
Guided by experienced mentors, participants will tackle exciting projects, like creating custom designs, building functional items, and experimenting with different metalworking processes. Along the way, they’ll learn the science of metal fabrication, teamwork, and problem-solving, all while having a blast in a high-energy, supportive environment.

Sr. Studio Recording Producer - (CAMP 3512)
Now is your chance to discover what being a recording engineer is all about! Using high-end equipment and industry standard software, you’ll work with industry professionals in OC’s state-of-the-art recording studio to learn the ins and outs of recording. You’ll start your journey by getting to know the equipment and receive an introduction to the software. You’ll learn how to set up microphones and record your own tracks before finally mixing and mastering your own project! Let us guide you in your artistic vision, while learning and having fun.

If you’re captivated by airplanes, the history of aviation, or dream of pursuing a career in this exciting field, this is the Academy for you! Students will get an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the world of aviation and explore a variety of aviation fields, such as aircraft mechanics, communication, air traffic control, and the roles of pilots. Expect a week of hands-on instruction at Okanagan College Kelowna campus and the KF Centre for Excellence, conveniently located adjacent to the Kelowna International Airport. You’ll have the opportunity to experience the flight simulator, airport operations, and weather permitting, take to the skies with an experienced pilot for a flight over Kelowna. This is a unique opportunity to explore aviation up close and gain valuable insight into the field. Whether you’re interested in pursuing a career in aviation or simply want to learn more about the world of flight, this camp offers an unforgettable experience!

Sr. Secrets of a Pastry Chef - (CAMP 3510)
Join us in the OC Culinary kitchen as we bake up a batch of delicious treats in this scrumptious camp. Let our pastry chef guide you through baking a variety of blissful creations from savoury to sweet! Re-invent recipes by adding unique flavors, changing ingredient ratios and adding some sprinkles on top. Explore textures and flavours in this mouth-watering experience.
Sr. Custom Longboard Design - (CAMP 3000)
Hang out at OC this summer and learn the secrets of building your own custom longboard deck in a professional shop. This exciting project will teach the art of skateboard making and also includes a free standing or wall mounted skateboard rack to display your craftsmanship. Roll out of the week on your own custom longboard and be able to skate through the summer.

Sr. Water, Pipes, and Cool Spaces - (CAMP 3006)
Ever wondered where your water actually goes… or how buildings stay cool on the hottest days? You’ll become a behind-the-scenes building detective as you explore how pipes carry water, how plumbing systems fit together, and how air-conditioning and refrigeration use science to beat the heat. You won’t just watch - you’ll build, connect, and experiment with real tools and real systems. The grand finale - use cooling power to freeze and solidify a mystery mixture - proving that you’ve mastered the art of staying cool like a true trade pro! Join us and maybe you’ll even discover your future superpower in Mechanical Building Trades!

Sr. Reclaimed Vintage - (CAMP 3505)
For Grades 7-9: This week will start with thrifting! When we get back on campus learn about designing, sketching, trend spotting and different fabrics. We will cut, glue, sew, hem and trim boring clothing items, explore the history of different styles, discuss colour combination, and maybe set a new trend or two. Create new and unique items from outdated styles and have fun with vintage pieces that need a lift! Bring your imagination and let's see what creations you can make!
Sr. Videogame Development - (CAMP 3300)
Video games are not just something to do for fun. You can take your passion for video games and turn it into an awesome career! Gain familiarity with computer programming, explore the stages of game development, and network with other like-minded young people all while creating your own games from scratch. See how the world of computer science can open the doors to your future!
Sr. Magic the Gathering ® - (CAMP 3907)
Explore the iconic and enduring game Magic: The Gathering, in this action-packed week designed for both new and experienced players! Learn the fundamentals of deck building, card synergy, game strategy, and smart decision-making through hands-on play and guided instruction. Campers will test their skills in friendly matches across a variety of formats, participate in mini-tournaments, and level up their critical-thinking abilities—all while exploring one of the world’s most popular and enduring card games!
Sr. Master Chef - (CAMP 3500)
Build your confidence as you learn the essentials of cooking and baking in OC’s professional culinary kitchen! In this hands-on camp, you’ll explore different recipes, practice safe kitchen skills, and learn how to work with key ingredients and tools. From simple sauces and fresh baked goods to flavourful meals you can recreate at home, each day brings something new to discover. On Friday, put your skills to the test with a fun culinary challenge, where you’ll work individually or in teams to create a dish that showcases everything you’ve learned throughout the week.
Sr. 3D Design and Print - (CAMP 3302)
This week we will explore the process of 3D design and printing. Using industry software we will tweak existing plans and create our own. We will talk about what 3D printing is used for and what materials you can print with. At the end of the week we will have a couple of your designs printed for you to show off to friends and family.

Got music? Feel the beat! Give in to the groove this week and join us to mix some tracks, perfect those smooth transitions, and design your own sounds using professional equipment and industry software. We’ll wrap the week with a show featuring your musical creations. Train your ears, write and program your own beats, and spin it all out on a turntable!
Sr. The Stage is Waiting - (CAMP 3501)
Step into the spotlight – it’s time to captivate the auditorium! In this camp, you will improve your acting skills like vocal projection, speech clarity and physical expression. You will learn more about scripts, costumes and choreography, and you will practice improvisation, emulation and other abilities needed by a budding thespian. But most importantly, this camp will ignite your imagination and inspire deeper exploration of the world of drama and performance – all on a real theatre stage.

Sr. Reclaimed Vintage - Beyond the Basics - (CAMP 3522)
This week kicks off with a trip to the thrift shop to choose garments you'll then transform. Next, put your sewing skills to work while exploring design planning, sketching, trend spotting, and choosing fabrics. Each day, you’ll tackle more advanced construction and alteration techniques - including cutting, sewing, hemming, trimming, and finishing – to turn ordinary clothing into unique, one-of-a-kind designs. With hands-on projects and plenty of creative freedom, you’ll bring new life to vintage and outdated items while experimenting with style, color, and technique.
Please note: Students must have basic sewing experience, including being able to independently use and thread a sewing machine; completion of our Sr. Reclaimed Vintage camp is recommended.
Sr. Vibe & Thrive - (CAMP 3902)
Get ready for a week of creativity, confidence, and self-discovery! Every day is divided into three parts: a creative arts session where you will explore your artistic side, a fitness and nutrition session; and a life skills session where you practice real-world skills like booking appointments, preparing for interviews, and building confidence in social situations. By the end of the week, you’ll take away new experiences, practical skills, and creative projects that reflect everything you’ve learned.

Sr. Minecraft™ 2.0 - (CAMP 3319)
Designed for experienced players who want to create impressive, polished worlds. Throughout the week you will explore architectural principles, landscaping techniques, large-scale planning, and the professional-level build strategies used by the top creators! You will dive deeper into texture combinations, colour theory, symmetry, lighting, and environmental storytelling to bring your structures and worlds to life! Through guided build challenges and collaborative group projects, you will develop a strong eye for design, problem solving, and teamwork skills while crafting builds that go far beyond the basics! This camp is perfect for those who are ready to push their creativity, tackle ambitious projects, and learn what it takes to design at a higher level.
